Acupressure is a non-invasive treatment that involves the pressure applied to points on the body to relieve pain associated with health problems.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, pressing on points in the body helps to balance or release chi, a form of energy that circulates throughout the body on certain routes (called “meridians”) that intersect.

A close relative of acupuncture and reflexology, acupressure appeared in China and Japan more than 5,000 years ago.
